In this video, I headed down to my local Boots, drugstore. It’s one of the biggest drugstores I have ever been to. I had a look at all the oral health products available there. These included, toothbrushes – electric toothbrushes and manual, toothbrushes for children and ones to suit a whole range of budgets. I then went on to have a look at the most recent toothpastes on the market, those for tooth whitening, tooth sensitivity, gum disease, and dental cavity protection.
There were products available from various companies including: Oral-b, Colgate, Corsodyl, Philips Sonicare, Listerine, Sensodyne, Curaprox, Marvis, Eco-Denta, Bamboo and Te-Pe.
I had a browse of new mouthwashes on the market and interdental cleaning aids. During this visit I notice there were more environmentally friendly products, which I firmly believe will and should be the way forwards for dental products to reduce the extensive plastic wast these can produce! I also saw some fantastic dental care products for babies and and children – prevention is definitely better than cure and the sooner you get your children into good oral hygiene regimes, the less likely they are to suffer from dental problems in the future.
